PANDAmonium

a Panda Restaurant!

I was riding my bike down Warren Rd yesterday and I saw a new restaurant.  It’s called Panda Buffet!  Why didn’t anyone tell me about this before?  I certainly hope they are not serving panda.  That would be illegal thankfully!  They probably call themselves panda buffet because they are inspired by the cuisine of the panda.  I personally have some great bamboo recipes.

Maybe its time for me to finally get a job.  It will have to be a part time one because I’m not all that ambitious.  But cooking food for people might be kind of fun, especially at a restaurant with Panda in the name.  I might just stop in and apply there the next time I ride by on my bike on the way to the library.

open mic night

I went to the open mic night on Thursday evening at the library (the library stayed open late just for this event).  There were lots of people there and some of them did poems and sang songs and stuff like that.  It was a lot of fun and I did feel kind of bad about showcasing my skills because I knew people might get a little jealous!  But I went of there anyways and everyone wanted me to go again and again.  I had to politely declined so other people would get a chance to express themselves.

If you want to see me in action you’re going to have to come the next open mic night on Thursday, March 19!

Battle of the Books

Its to bad the battle of the books is for only for teens.  I would totally win if I competed!  Basically, the way it works is you read a bunch of books and then you work in teams to answer questions about the book vs other teams.  You may not know this, but pandas have excellent memories.  Hmm . . . I wonder if I can talk my way on to someone team?

Here is where I got the info about it:

Kung Fu Panda

I knowkungfu1 I promised a review of the Kung Fu panda movie like 500 years ago.  I’m sorry!  But here it is now.

Ok so Po is a clumsy panda who works in his family’s noodle shop.  He is bored with his lot in life and yearns for something more exciting.  Po suddenly gets chosen to study to be a kung fu master.  He also get to meet his kung fu idols: Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey.  Soon enough, they discover that Po has to battle Tai Lung, the viscious and dangerous snow leopard who has escaped from prison.  Everything is riding on Po as the one who will be able to take Tai Lung down.

Overall the movie was entertaining. It was well paced, funny and the characters were enjoyable.  Now, despite Po being a panda like me (which should give him inherent awesomeness) he learns advanced kung fu a little to quickly, especially for someone who starts the movie so clumsily (his friends discover that they can encourage his kung fu by motivating him with food).  I think he learns it in like a day or two.  I mean, I know I can do pretty much anything because I am a panda, and even I can’t learn kung fu over night. It would take me at least a week and a half.

Panda Sneezes

You better watch out when a panda sneezes:

New Teen website

Sorry I haven’t posted in so long!  I’ve been a busy panda.

So I was just wondering if anyone else has seen the new teen website for the library.  It’s pretty neat.  You can change the theme of the page with the buttons in the upper right hand corner.  You can make the theme manga, penguins (hey, they’re blackand white–but still not as good as pandas of course), vampire, sparkles and garage band.

New Library Computer Screen Savers

So has anyone seen the new screen savers on the public computers?  Guess who is featured in the photo.  Yes it is litle old me.  So I get to walk around the library and its like everyone already knows who I am. I feel like a rock star.  Eat your heart out Pete Wentz.

I think the library may just finally let me be their mascot after this!
