Westland Festival
I had a great time yesterday the Westland Festival. It was in the parking lot near City Hall. There were rides, games and lots of food. Then I sat back and watched the fireworks. If you missed it, then you’ll have to wait another whole year for it to come back.
I like the rides that fast and make you feel like you’re going to fall or ram into something. I should really take a trip to Cedar Point this summer. I plaid a tossing game where you throw a little ball into some buckets and naturally I did pretty good. I won a stuffed frog. I snacked on Butterfly chips and drank lots of refreshing lemonade. Unfortunately many people were walking around eating Bear Claws. Its an almondy type of pastry, where no actual bears get harmed in the making of them. It sort of resembles a bear claw I guess, but I just don’t like the idea of encouraging people to associate anything bear related with food.
The fireworks were fantastic. I watched them with my neighbor friends. The finale was really cool. When it was all over, I was pretty beat and I knew it was time to go home and get some sleep.
